The Wetlands 25th Anniversary at The Cap

The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY will host 2 shows commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Wetlands Preserve on February 7th and 8th.  The show will feature headlining performances by moe. both nights.  Special guests include Jimmy Herring, Reid Genauer, Scott Murawski, Aaron Maxwell, John Medeski, Fuzz, and Jen Durkin.  The Wetlands was the NYC home to many bands in 90’s including the Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Bob Weir (of the Grateful Dead), moe., Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, 311, Ben Harper, Robert Randolph, Strangefolk, Max Creek, Stanley Jordan, Deep Banana Blackout and many more.  The Wetlands Preserve proprietor from 1997-2001 was Peter Shapiro, the owner of the Capitol Theatre and the Brooklyn Bowl.  Shapiro recently inked a deal with Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh for 30 shows at the Cap in 2014.  Read more here.
